Challenge
When loads must be measured, not estimated
In vehicle development, on the test bench and in field testing, indirect measurements are often not enough. Load paths are complex, interactions are hard to calibrate – and key components rotate or sit in tight installation spaces.
A strain gauge application on the part itself moves the measurement point to where the load actually occurs. The prerequisite is a build that protects mechanically, thermally and against media.
- × Limited installation space
- × Oil, water, contamination
- × High temperatures and vibration
- × Long test campaigns
